9. Highlights from 2005:
• Washington County started its first Master Gardener Program. Fourteen Master Gardener Interns completed their basic training in November 2005. Five Master Gardeners who took basic training in Frederick County and live in Washington Co. decided to join the group.
<>• The Master Gardeners chose six programs to start in Washington County for 2006: Historical Gardens at the Washington Co. Rural Heritage Village, Hagerstown Community College Demonstration Gardens, Ask a Master Gardener Plant Clinics, St. Mark’s Community Garden Plots, C-safe After-school program and Therapeutic Horticulture. A great start to a new program.
